Lunch & Learn: Supporting Our Veterans in the Workplace and Preparing a Resume for Federal Employment

This year WCDA aims to provide at least one (1) professional development opportunity per month for its members. Please join WCDA for a Lunch & Learn session for April's professional development opportunity. This month's session is will feature speakers, Marvel Browne and Wendy Roeber.

Marvel is a Talent Sourcer as part of the Talent Acquisition team for UW Health.  She has over 25 years of experience working applicants and communities to support job seekers for the ever-changing workforce and expanding partnerships to help increase the diversity representation of the UW Health staff. She will share specific information related to the recruitment and support provided to military service members and veterans at UW Health. 

Wendy is a Career Specialist for Waukesha County Technical College.  She provides comprehensive career counseling and job seeking service to community and student populations. She will share tips and strategies for creating resumes for federal employment.    

Join us for this professional development opportunity. Feel free to bring your lunch. The link to access the session will be sent out one day prior to the session.

Audience: This event is designed to provide professional development for academic advisors, career development professionals, workforce development professionals, coaches, counselors, and educators.

Certificate of Attendance: A certificate of attendance, noting 1 clock hour, will be available for individuals who attend this professional development event.

Pre-Registration: Pre-registration is required. A Webex link will be emailed to registrants the morning of the event.

Cost: $0 for current members of WCDA and is open to non-members.  If you are not a current member of WCDA, consider joining WCDA for a $25 annual fee.
